3 cups of water
2 cups of meat broth
1/2 cup of acha
4 pieces of cooked biscuit bones
2 medium ripe tomatoes
2 medium tatashe
Few slices of onions
2 medium garden eggs cut into cubes
2 bitter garden eggs cut into quarters
2 cups of shredded cabbage
2 cups of spinach coarsely cut
1 cup of shredded spring onions
1 cup of shredded sorrel leafs (or to taste)
2 stock cubes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste (optional
1In a medium sized pot, place the water, broth, bicuit bones, onions, garden egg and bitter garden egg. Also chop the tomatoes and tatashe, add into the pot and bring it to a boil.
2Next,add the Pye Rat pre-washed and sand free acha and allow to simmer for 5 minutes until soft and the pot contents thickened.
3Add seasonings -salt, pepper and stock cube if desired
4Add the cabbage and allow to cook further for 5 minutes.
5Stir in the spring onion,spinach and sorrel. Cook for a minute and turn off the heat.
